Expert faculty response

“This certainly depends on approval and access to a specific type of tau tracer. Generally, it can be argued that tau PET can provide information on all three disease categories, A(myloid), T(au) and N(euronal injury). Thus, tau PET could serve as a rather universal tool for multiple purposes in the future, allowing early prediction of dementia, patient inclusion for novel therapies (including anti-amyloid therapies), as well as therapy control and staging and even differential diagnosis.”
